Cesirys Espaillat.

Cesirys Espaillat is a screenwriter born in the wrong decade but, at least, in the right city. With a passion for musicals, history, and the human condition, this New York native grew up with an unassailable hunger for learning that has yet to be satisfied.  Cesirys has fallen in love with way too many characters, images, and emotions from books, television shows, and movies.  Her many loves have been a constant reminder that fiction, regardless of genre, is her perfect TARDIS.

In her quest to become an adult, Cesirys submerged herself in the world of Psychology and Medicine, where she realized the voices in her head were not past lives, but multidimensional characters with histories, secrets, and uncontrollable urges. When faced with the unfathomable obstacle — becoming a real-life adult or her own hero, the unsung Disney princess found peace and comfort in creating worlds and complex situations for her unique characters. Cesirys attended Full Sail University and graduated with a BFA in Creative Writing, where she refined her craft. She shared the tales of some of her characters in The Aviator, The Story Shack, and The Weird Year.

Cesirys is driven to create individuals that are authentic, relatable, complicated, and diverse. As a screenwriter, she seeks to break stereotypes by flooding the television world with unpredictable, witty dialogue, and smart fictional characters. She is currently working on her one-hour drama pilot, The Mackenzie Volumes; the story of Blair, a female detective in Portland, who discovers she has magical powers after being framed for a series of murders. This is just the beginning of Cesirys' plans for world domination.
